Former Nascar driver Bobby East has passed away after a fatal stab wound to his chest at a gas station in Westminister, California.
Paramedics arriving at the scene made several efforts to save the life of the 37-year-old but proved futile after he passed away at the local hospital he was sent for treatment. The suspect, Trent William Millsap, was shot dead in Anaheim when he resisted arrest by officers.
The death of Bobby East comes as a shock to many car-racing fans as a true talent has been senselessly wasted. NASCAR shared their grievances over his death on social media while extending its condolences to the family of the deceased.
The former NASCAR driver was a decorated athlete who competed in the USAC Silver Crown Series, USAC National Midget Series, Copper World Classics, Belleville Midget Nationals, Xfinity Series Career and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
On the 13th of July 2022, he was approached by Trent Millsap at the 76 gas station at Westminister, California and had a verbal exchange with him after which he stabbed him.
Bobby East was 37 years old and had no wife or children.
