Unisa Application Dates for all Qualification
The University of South Africa is recognized as a provider of equal and equitable access to higher education opportunities. Based on its social responsibility to address past inequalities, Unisa has a selection process and application that tackles historical imbalances efficiently without compromising quality standards.
The management board of Unisa have announced the application open and closing dates for the 2023 academic year.
Application Date for Undergraduates
The 2023 academic year application for admission to Undergraduate Qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees) will be available from 1 September to 14 October 2022. During the specified application date, all applications for admission must be submitted online.
Everyone wanting to commence a new qualification at Unisa must apply for admission. This involves:
- First-time applicants
- Continuing Unisa students changing to a new qualification or specialisation
- Applicants who have applied for admission before and were not offered a space or were offered a space accepted the offer but fail to register.
- Students completing a higher certificate or any other programme want to pursue further undergraduate studies.
Application Date for Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas
Application for admission to Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas for the 2023 academic year will be available from 1 September to 14 November 2022 but CTA programmes have an earlier closing date. If there are still spaces after the set deadline, additional application dates will be released or announced.
Everyone wanting to begin a new qualification at Unisa, including:
- First-time applicants
- Continuing Unisa students changing to a new qualification or specialisation of their current qualification
- Applicants in their final year of an undergraduate qualification who wish to continue with postgraduate studies
Application Date for Master’s & Doctoral Degrees
Master’s and Doctoral Degrees application for admission 2023 academic year will be available from 11 September to 14 November 2022.
Everyone wanting to begin a new qualification at Unisa, including:
- First-time applicants
- Unisa students wanting to apply for a new qualification
- Students in their final year of a qualification wanting to start a Master’s or Doctoral qualification
- Previously registered Master’s & Doctoral students who did not register for the 2022 academic year but wish to continue with their studies
