Highland Park Parade shooting suspect, Robert Crimo, was apprehended the same day of the shooting. He currently faces 7 charges of first-degree murder with sentencing of life imprisonment without parole.
Who is Robert “Bobby” Crimo?
Robert Crimo was born on the 20th of September 2000 in Illinois.
His father, Robert Crimo Jr- a businessman, said he raised his son with good morals- a statement his uncle re-echoed. To some of Bobby’s old friends and neighbours, this came as a big surprise as they all had good things to say about the 21-year-old. According to them Bobby Crimo never exhibited any weird behaviours which made him suspicious of any vice. Like many other young adults, he had goals and aspired to be a rapper in the near future.
The 21-year-old had facial tattoos, which authorities say he covered up before storming onto the scene of the parade to commit the crime. He also dressed up in women’s clothing to conceal his identity before setting off.
He had licensed a number of guns in his name, which he used on the day of the shooting.
It is still unclear what his motivation and mission were, but one thing that’s certain is that he might be spending the rest of his life in prison for the havoc he wrecked on the 4th of July, 2022 at Highland Park.
