News making rounds on social media allege that popular movie veteran and media mogul, Ekow Blankson has passed away at 50 years old. The cause of his death has not been disclosed as his family is yet to issue a formal communique about the passing of the actor.

Mr Blankson was born on the 16th of March 1972.
Mr Blankson received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Ghana in Theatre Arts and Fine Arts respectively. From a very young age, he was interested in the Arts and highlighted this in an interview, stating that he was often beaten for his preference for the Arts over football.
Mr Blankson began his acting career at the age of 16 at the University of Ghana and has starred in tens of movies over his 4-decade acting career. Mr Blankson has also worked with major media giants such as TV Africa and TV3, the latter of which he served as the Managing Director till his death.
Mr Blankson was also involved in a number of educational and Art projects before his death.
